Hey guy!
So this past weekend we recorded my good friend Chris Gagnon on tenor saxophone doing some improvisation for one song and so horn harmonies for another. We also record Andrew Brown on organ and keyboard for three songs. Andrew is a great friend of ours and a very talented player. So the album is pretty much done! We just have a couple guest vocals to finish! Our mixer just moved, so he should beginning shortly (if not already). Also, our graphic designer Matt Y (http://portfolio.virgoascendant.com/) sent us an updated version of our album art (which we will be sharing soon enough) and we are all very excited. Once all three EP’s are completed the album art will combine to make the big picture.
Towards the end of this month we be launching our preorders for vinyl/digital release/album t-shirt. Be on the lookout for more details on that, but everything is cruising along. An official digital release date will be announced shortly. We are very excited to bring the first piece of this body of work to the world!
Thanks
-Jake and the rest of TESF.
Hey guys,
Just taking a second to let you know that we are all done with primary instruments. Guitars are being reamped this week. This Saturday we will be concluding with guest vocals, back-up/gang vocals, tenor saxophone, organ/keys, and potentially trumpet.
We are very excited. From there its just off to the mixing/mastering, which we hope to have done by the beginning of September. Then its off to the presses, which should be done 6-8 weeks after that. As soon as we have an officially release date we will let you all know. We are very excited for this, and have begun working on the next EP as well, which is expected to differ from the first, and be more aggressive and heavy.
Anyway, cheers!
Be on the lookout for preorders and other news in the upcoming month!
Hello Friends! We hope you are all well. We have been quite busy. As many of you know, The Empire Shall Fall has had some downtime lately (on that note, be sure to check out Jesse with Times Of Grace on tour in Europe and America, and Nick on tour with The Dear Hunter). Despite the downtime from performing live, we have been working on a series of concept EPs. While we haven’t yet released details on the concept linking the EPs, we can tell you that the first one deals with redemption and the “guts of emotion.” Lyrical content deals with “picking up the pieces of your life and starting over” and “finding a new perspective as a result of the changes and lessons learned in the past.” The four major tracks off this first release are titled below (this is not a complete track listing): The Genesis of These Scars Narrow, The Path I Walk As The City Sleeps The First Redemption We are in the final stages of recording, currently trying to wrap up backing vocals, group vocals, and auxiliary instruments (which should feature some of our very talented friends). Over the next several months we will be releasing further details, the album artwork, sneak peaks, and the preorder options. We anticipate releasing the first EP, titled “Volume 1: Solar Plexus,” this fall (a solid release date TBA). Each EP will be available for digital download and vinyl only. There will be a limited number of vinyls pressed. Once the third EP is released, a final “master” hardcopy CD will be released with the complete work. The three EP’s are anticipated to fade in and out of one another, and the final CD will contain the uninterrupted versions. We want to take this to time thank everyone who has helped us out, particularly the fans. Your endless support has brought us to where we are today. We can’t wait to share the new material with you all! In the mean time, check out some guitar recording footage below! -The Empire Shall Fall
Went for my run and then spent the morning recording a new idea i had in my head for the final TESF record. Got to say, I am pretty excited. Feeling very fortunate to be playing with people who are all on the same page. Each step of recording this EP, and getting to hear what everyone else has done has been equally exciting. Can’t wait to release it!

So, we are currently working on many things. One of those is a website, being designed by our graphic designer and dear friend Matthew Yezuita. As a part of the process, he is creating this tumblr for us, where we will keep you all posted on various things.
Currently we are hard at work recording the first EP we have been talking about. Expect more information to be released on that soon. Keep checking in!
-Jake
